Ancient and New Playing Style of the Punjab Gharana of Tabla: A Brief Discussion

Abstract:
Under the present research paper, the style of playing prevalent in the Punjab Gharana of Tabla and presently specially developed by Ustad Allarkha Khan ji in various bands such as Peshakar, Quaid, Klish Titiya, difficult compositions for the accompaniment, is to be shed light on the new playing style. has been attempted. Under this, a brief discussion has been presented of which instruments were included in the playing style of Punjab Gharana, especially Deepchandi Anga's Bandishes, Lamkshan, Qaidain, Badaiya Ki Gatee, Rayleigh, Gatee etc. and in conclusion Punjab Gharana of Tabla An attempt has been made to show the developed playing style by the combination of ancient and new playing styles.
